Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Credentialed or Registered within thirteen months of employment.
• BLS certification required or ability to obtain within first three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned clinical tasks under physician direction, including administering medications, injections, immunizations, and other procedures.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures such as colposcopy, flex sigmoidoscopy, or minor surgeries.
• Collect specimens including blood, urine, and sputum samples.
• Conduct hearing and vision screens and developmental testing; document in EHR.
• Record vitals and room patients according to the flow process; maintain patient records.
