Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program with externship or military training.
• Credentialed or Registered through AAMA, AMT, or NHA within 13 months of employment.
• Must have and maintain valid American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers (or ability to obtain within 3 months).

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tasks under physician or provider direction including injections, immunizations, and monitoring.
• Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
• Perform specimen collection (blood, urine, sputum) and basic tests.
• Conduct hearing/vision screens and developmental testing as part of rooming.
• Enter patient data into the EHR and maintain patient records.
• Provide basic patient care and room assignments, document vital signs.
