Job summary
Optima Dermatology in Mentor, OH is seeking an experienced full-time Medical Assistant to join our growing dermatology and medical aesthetics group. You will prepare exam rooms, take vitals, assist physicians with procedures, handle specimen processing, schedule tests and referrals, and ensure patient confidentiality.
The role supports high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting. Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM.
Qualifications
- Experience taking vitals, injections, charting, and basic lab procedures.
- Strong oral and written communication to interact with patients and families.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work in a team.
- Dermatology medical office experience preferred.
- Experience with Modernizing Medicine EMA EMR is highly preferred.
- Licensed Medical Assistant or nursing degree
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and prepare procedure trays.
- Escort patients, record vitals, and assist with examinations.
- Assist physicians with procedures and specimen handling.
- Coordinate referrals, tests, and lab communications.
- Maintain inventory and disinfect exam rooms daily.
