Job summary

Optima Dermatology in Rocky River, OH and Macedonia, OH is seeking an experienced full-time Medical Assistant to support dermatology and medical aesthetics practices.

You will prepare exam rooms, take vitals, assist with minor procedures, manage specimens and lab results, coordinate tests and referrals, and maintain inventory, while ensuring patient confidentiality and seamless operations.

Qualifications

• Take vitals, injections, charting, and lab prep with accuracy.
• Answer patient questions, document visits, and protect privacy.
• Adhere to sterile technique and infection-control procedures.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure smooth visits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies between patients.
• Escort patients, take vitals, and document visit details.
• Assist physicians with procedures (sutures, minor surgeries).
• Prepare specimens for outside lab and track results.
• Schedule tests and coordinate referrals and test results.
• Communicate with pharmacies and other providers.
• Pre-certify medications and track referrals.
• Manage inventory and back-office supplies.
• Ensure exam rooms and labs are clean and safe.
• Collaborate with physician and office manager on improvements.
