DOCS Dermatology Group in Cincinnati, OH is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision. The role focuses on accurate data collection, EHR documentation, and direct patient assistance within a top dermatology network.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, prior medical office experience, and a proactive approach to assisting physicians and maintaining a clean, compliant clinic environment in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in a medical office is preferred.
• Ability to learn center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patients and recording medical history.
• Enter medical history and visits into the EHR system.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for exams.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Schedule medical procedures and manage prescriptions with pharmacies.
• Take photographs as needed and perform in-office phlebotomy.
• Change wound dressings and remove sutures.
• Collect and package lab specimens for transport.
• Sterilize medical instruments and maintain supplies.
• Perform and document nurse visit appointments including injections and tests.
• Provide patient instructions on medication usage and safety.
• Maintain a safe and organized clinical environment.
