Job summary

Dermatology Solutions Group, LLC provides professional management services to Southeast Dermatology Group, P.A. with locations throughout the Southeast. The Medical Assistant will support providers, document patient information, and help ensure excellent patient experiences.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, assisting with procedures, managing e-prescriptions, and maintaining records. The role involves travel to main and satellite offices as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED and current certification.
• One year medical experience in a physician's office or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred; will train a highly-motivated new graduate.

Responsibilities

• Ensures an excellent patient experience with all aspects of the practice and associated interactions.
• Ensures correct and complete patient information in health record by accurate documentation of notes throughout visit.
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment by escorting them from the waiting area to the exam room, documenting patient history, determining chief complaint, and verifying medical histories and current medications.
• Administers injections and assists with examinations and office procedures as needed; provides other patient care services as directed by the Medical Providers.
• Performs suture removals and ensures same-day delivery of e-prescriptions when possible or within 24 hours.
• Creates, maintains, and files patient encounters and records in the electronic patient record.
