AQUA Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant for the McCalla/Alabaster area to support providers during patient visits and procedures. The role emphasizes patient experience, room preparation, and accurate documentation.

You will assist with minor procedures, charting, imaging, and scheduling, while ensuring post-care instructions are clear and thorough. Dermatology experience is preferred and a team-oriented environment is offered.

Qualifications

• 2 years of combined education/experience in a clinical setting substitute for minimum experience.
• MA certification, CPR, and First Aid are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms for each appointment, ensuring cleanliness and stocking supplies.
• Engage with and focus on the patient experience during visits.
• Gather patient information, informed consent, and payment details.
• Assist the physician with minor procedures, charting, uploading imaging, and scheduling follow-ups.
• Provide detailed post-care instructions to patients and family members.
• Complete pathology and laboratory requisitions as required.
