The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is hiring a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory dermatology clinics. You will provide direct patient care, assist with procedures, and help run clinic operations under clinician supervision.

The role requires CMA certification, CPR certification, and the ability to document in EPIC. Flexibility to float between JHU Dermatology clinics may be required to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or graduation equivalent.
• Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, AAMA, RMA, AMT, NAHP).
• If not certified, must become certified within 180 days of hire.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must maintain MA and CPR certification during employment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist patient to exam room.
• Screen patient prior to doctor's exam and document in EPIC.
• Prepare for patient procedures.
• Effectively explain processes to patient.
• Maintain inventory and supply ordering.
• Help monitor clinic flow.
• Stock exam rooms.
• Identify information/resources needed related to clinical situation.
• Organize and summarize information.
• Uses equipment to monitor vital signs and other devices.
• Identify signs of changing patient care and notify appropriate person.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking in patient care activities.
• Identify opportunities for improvement to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Take appropriate clinical actions under supervision to achieve positive outcomes.
• Independently prioritize daily tasks and assignments.
• Follow established policies and procedures.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
