Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the dermatology team during patient visits, room patients, and scribe for the dermatologist. You will assist with post-op wound care, draw blood, sutures, and keep exam rooms clean and stocked.

Responsibilities include scheduling and aiding in procedures. The ideal candidate has CMA/LPN/RN credentials or Forefront Derm Tech cert, 1+ year medical office experience, and strong computer, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant, DERM Tech a plus
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
• Must possess organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and documents all vital information
• Scribing information for the dermatologist
• Providing post op wound care to patients
• Drawing blood and suture removal
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
• Scheduling patient appointments
• Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as: surgical photographs, biopsies - punch, DIF and shave, excisions, electrodessication and curettage, I&D, Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery, phototherapy, injections, Koh preps, Trichograms, Tzank preps, Dermabrasion, Patch testing, Blue light
