Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a dermatology clinic located in Georgia. This part-time role (~25 hours/week) involves welcoming patients, assisting clinicians, handling documentation, and maintaining clean exam rooms.

Previous medical office exposure helps, and CDT certification may be pursued after hire. Job duties include coordinating calls, processing prior authorizations, and ensuring a smooth patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Previous medical office or clinical experience is a plus.
• Ability to obtain the CDT designation within the established timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients and prepare them for their visit.
• Assist clinicians during exams and dermatologic procedures.
• Support clinical documentation and scribing.
• Prepare exam rooms, instruments, supplies, and specimens.
• Provide patients with basic care instructions as directed by the clinician.
• Support patient calls, medication workflows, prior authorizations, and clinical follow-up.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
• Perform additional clinical responsibilities based on your training, demonstrated competency, and applicable state requirements.
