Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Delray Beach is seeking a Part-time Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks in a dermatology setting.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians with medical, cosmetic and laser procedures, documenting treatments, and maintaining inventory while ensuring patient comfort and a welcoming environment. Dermatology experience is preferred; open weekday/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience required
• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere for patients and providers
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Document prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, and prior authorizations
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate next steps
• Prep rooms before and after patients and check equipment at shift start
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed
• Inventory and stock supplies and equipment
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities
