Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Miami Beach is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support clinical and clerical tasks in a busy dermatology practice. The role emphasizes patient care, room preparation, procedure support, and accurate charting to help deliver the ultimate patient experience.

No experience is required, but an interest in healthcare, teamwork, and detail orientation are valued. We welcome college graduates and career changers; schedule is Monday–Friday with some Saturdays

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps.
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including equipment checks.
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed.
• Manage inventory and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.
