Job summary

Christie Clinic's Dermatology department seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to support the University Clinic in Champaign, IL, with coverage at Danville, Mahomet, Monticello, and Tuscola clinics as needed. Expect a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm schedule with no night or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include room prep, charting in EMR, assisting with procedures, and educating patients. Completion of ACDT certification within 90 days is required; CMA/CNA preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• EMR experience preferred; scribing responsibilities may be assigned.
• Prior healthcare experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments prior to appointments.
• Restock and clean rooms at day end.
• Enter patient information into EMR and update records (allergies, meds, etc).
• Assist providers with procedures and patient education.
• Support lab duties and specimen handling as needed.
