Job summary

SSM Health Des Peres Medical Pavilion in Missouri is seeking a highly motivated Medical Assistant to support examinations and treatments under supervision in a dermatology clinic. The role emphasizes accurate vital signs, chart documentation, room preparation, and efficient clerical tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Day shift, Monday–Friday, with no nights, weekends, holidays or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or 10 years of work experience.
• BLS Health Care Provider certification required.
• CMA/CCMA or alternative medical assisting credential(s) listed in the requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, scheduling patients, and filing.
• Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.

Education

High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

Wisconsin ONLY - High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience, and graduate from medical assistant school or training program or education equivalency for certification
