Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations at the Creve Coeur campus.

You will prepare exam rooms, obtain charts, assist with patient flow, and help with examinations, vaccines, phlebotomy and routine procedures under physician supervision. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, CMA/CCMA/RMA or allied health credentials, and EMR familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CMA/CCMA/RMA or other approved credential preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and charts; assist with patient flow and examinations.
• Perform or assist with phlebotomy, vaccines, and basic clinical tasks.
• Obtain vital signs, document findings, and support care coordination.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate EMR documentation.
• Schedule tests, tests results communication, and patient follow-up.
