Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Dermatology to support patient care in the Faculty Practice Dermatology clinic. The role includes triage, examinations, medication administration, venipuncture, and education under RN supervision, with potential for Sr. LVN responsibilities.

The position is 80% time, 8-hour days, Monday–Friday, at the La Jolla Ambulatory Clinics. Dermatology experience, phlebotomy, BLS/BART, and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• California LVN license required.
• BART or BLS at hire with commitment to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 2 years LVN experience for Sr. LVN level.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient triage, examinations, and teaching under RN supervision.
• Administer medications, venipuncture and IV access.
• Provide patient education and support in dermatology clinic.
