Job summary

Ohio State University Physicians is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver skilled nursing care under physician supervision. The role covers sterile dressings, patient care plans, and various nursing procedures.

The LPN will administer medications, monitor patients, prepare exam rooms, and assist with examinations while maintaining safety and infection control standards. This position is based in Ohio and requires a current Ohio LPN license.

Qualifications

Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing.
Current Practical Nursing License in the state of Ohio.
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality patient care within the LPN scope of practice, including rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering medications/IV fluids, performing treatments, and collecting specimens.
Prepare patients and exam rooms; assist providers with examinations, procedures, testing, and real-time documentation as appropriate.
Monitor patient conditions, recognize and report changes or adverse reactions, educate patients within scope, and coordinate laboratory specimens, results, and follow-up care.
Maintain clinical operations by sterilizing equipment, managing supplies and inventory, supporting scheduling and clerical tasks, and adhering to safety, infection control, and compliance standards.
Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, teamwork, effective communication with supervisors, ongoing skills training, system usage, travel as needed, and completion of assigned duties or special projects.
