Job summary

The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our outpatient care team in Ohio.

The LPN provides skilled nursing services under a physician or midlevel provider, administers medications, prepares exam rooms, and supports lab coordination, while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting with examinations, documenting care, and ensuring smooth clinical operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing required.
• Current Practical Nursing License in the state of Ohio required.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Compassionate, team players focused on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care within the LPN scope of practice, including rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering medications/IV fluids, performing treatments, and collecting specimens.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms; assist providers with examinations, procedures, testing, and real-time documentation as appropriate.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize and report changes or adverse reactions, educate patients within scope, and coordinate laboratory specimens, results, and follow-up care.
• Maintain clinical operations by sterilizing equipment, managing supplies and inventory, supporting scheduling and clerical tasks, and adhering to safety, infection control, and compliance standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, teamwork, effective communication with supervisors, ongoing skills training, system usage, travel as needed, and completion of assigned duties or special projects.
