Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in lab or medical office setting required.
• Understanding of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Intake and processing of specimens.
• Input data into Electronic Medical Records Nextech.
• Log incoming slides and prepare slides for physician.
• Log Pathology Reports and pull charts for physician review.
• File slides and blocks.
• Compliance with safety regulations.
• Review all slides and documentation for accuracy.
• Assist with Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.
• Order and appropriately store laboratory supplies.
• Maintain lab records and patient slides according to law.
• Input diagnosis codes for finalizing reports for pathologists.
• Perform any other duties to ensure successful operations.
