Job summary
Epiphany Dermatology is seeking a Lab Technician in Waco, TX to support tissue processing, labeling, and preparation for microscopic evaluation. You will assist the Grossing Technician and Dermatopathologist, ensuring accurate labeling, EMR data entry, and proper handling of specimens.
The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with lab documentation, and adherence to safety protocols. Prior anatomic pathology experience is a plus; on-site attendance is required as part of a busy
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced lab setting.
- Experience or familiarity with lab safety and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and label specimen blocks for macroscopic evaluation.
- Enter information into the patient’s EMR as directed by the Grossing Technician.
- Label slides and prepare slides for microscopic evaluation and send-outs.
- Assist with lab send-outs and maintain lab records and documentation.
- Maintain temperature/humidity and quality assurance logs as required.
