QualDerm Partners LLC locates in Illinois seeks a Grossing Technician to maintain supplies and equipment in the laboratory while providing daily administrative support. You will grossly assess dermatologic tissues, perform dissections under supervision, and ensure safe, compliant handling of specimens.

A Bachelor's or 60 credit hours with science focus and 1–2 years of lab experience are preferred. Competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of 60 semester hours (or equivalent) with at least 24 hours in science/medical technology and minimum 6 hours in biology/chemistry/medical technology.
• Minimum 1–2 years of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Grossly assess dermatologic tissues for processing, recording size and description, inking if needed, and sectioning.
• May perform gross dissections under supervision of the lab medical director.
• Complete administrative duties including accessioning and slide send out.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment functionality.
• Observe PPE during specimen and chemical handling; comply with safety regulations.
• Dispose of biohazardous waste appropriately.
• Travel to other jobs or office locations as applicable.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological laboratory science, or medical technology

Completion of 60 semester hours with at least 24 in science or medical technology; plus relevant lab training/experience

1–2 years of laboratory experience preferred
