Job summary

Dermatology Associates in Tigard, OR, is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to support clinical operations at the Lake Oswego office. You will balance administrative tasks with hands-on patient care, assisting with patient flow, dermatology procedures, phlebotomy, and EMR documentation.

The ideal candidate has MA certification, BLS, and strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced dermatology environment and provide excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited program is preferred
• BLS certification is required
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and healthcare practices
• Adheres to all policies and procedures with a focus on high-quality customer service
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining medical records
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment
• Performs other duties as necessary for the organization

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient flow and rooming patients
• Support in general dermatology procedures and surgery assisting
• Triage and prioritization of urgent issues for providers
• Electronic Medical Records scribing on an iPad
• Perform lab duties and phlebotomy as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
