Job summary

Alcanza Clinical Research, LLC is seeking a Principal Investigator to lead clinical trials at the Largo site, ensuring patient safety and protocol compliance across multi-site initiatives. The role requires an MD/DO with dermatology board certification and an active license in the practice state.

You will oversee daily trial activities, coordinate with sponsors and staff, and maintain accurate, compliant documentation while guiding patient recruitment and retention in Phase I–IV studies.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active dermatology license in state of practice.
• Board certification in Dermatology.
• Proficiency with MS Office, EHRs, and web applications; ability to type 40+ wpm.
• Strong organizational, attention to detail, and math skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and with teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure medical well-being and safety per FDA, ICH, NIH, GCPs and HIPAA guidelines, study protocols and company policies.
• Provide overall site leadership to improve efficiency, patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate participants for eligibility to enroll in trials.
• Deliver and retain study participants through effective engagement.
• Collaborate with sponsors, clients and team members.
• Record data and participant information accurately, following protocol and GCPs; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in Investigator Meetings and ongoing protocol training.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on study needs.
