Job summary

University of California - San Francisco (UCSF) seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for an ambulatory dermatology unit. The role supports Mohs surgery, laser hair removal, and related cosmetic procedures while coordinating patient education and care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The RN will administer medications, perform basic assessments, and ensure accurate information flow among medical staff, patients, and departments, adhering to UCSF’s PRIDE values and AIDET communication

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of recent Registered Nurse clinical experience in an Ambulatory Clinic Setting.
• Minimum one year of recent Registered Nurse clinical experience with punch and shave biopsies in Dermatology Ambulatory Clinic.
• Minimum one year of recent Registered Nurse clinical experience in Mohs Surgery in Dermatology Ambulatory clinic.
• Experience in Laser Hair Removal Treatment
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
• Current American Heart Association CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, therapeutic care using the nursing process in an ambulatory dermatology setting.
• Assist with Mohs surgery procedures, laser treatments, Botox/Restylane, and related cosmetic procedures.
• Administer medications and perform clinical assessments and patient education.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and coordinate information flow with medical staff and departments.
