Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Ambulatory Registered Nurse to join the Wake Forest Baptist system in Winston-Salem, NC. This full-time role, 40 hours per week, runs Monday–Friday, 8–5, with no holidays or weekends typical.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with multi-state and/or single-state privileges.
• BLS certification.
• Typically requires 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and maintain patient safety.
• Evaluate outcomes and take action as needed.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Communicate effectively and resolve conflicts to support team.
• Pursue professional development and maintain required certifications.
• Adhere to ANA Ethics and provide unbiased patient care.
• Appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs, and aides.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed.
