Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Dermatologist to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with specialized skin conditions in a team-based care model across eastern Massachusetts. You will collaborate with primary and specialty care providers, develop care plans, prescribe therapies, educate patients, and contribute to health education programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Dermatology.
• Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations.
• Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions.
• Develops and implements a plan of care for these patients and prescribes medications, exercises and/or other treatments.
• Collaborates with clinical and administrative teams in management of patient care; maintains continuity of care through information exchange with outside health and social agencies.
• Serves as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists; consults with primary care providers on patient care issues.
• Teaches and counsels individuals and groups regarding specific health care needs; acts as an educator in areas of specialization.
• Participates in the development of health education programs.
