The Opportunity:

We are seeking experienced Derivatives Specialists or Paralegals to support our client’s Legal Department within the Trade Transaction Management (TTM) group. These roles focus on providing legal and administrative support for the client’s derivatives business, with a specific emphasis on the negotiation and execution of collateral assignment agreements.

About the Client:

Our client is a leading global financial institution known for its strong presence in corporate and investment banking. They operate across multiple markets and industries, providing innovative financial solutions tailored to their clients’ needs.

• Commitment: Full-time, secondment role.
• Duration: 6-12 months.
• Location: Hybrid, New York City.
• Start Date: ASAP.
• Compensation: $120,000 - $155,000 annualized.

Responsibilities:

Documentation Support:

• Facilitate the review and exchange of legal documentation with internal attorneys and external counsel.
• Review, negotiate, and process collateral assignment agreements related to interest rate cap transactions.
• Develop and refine procedures to improve the documentation process.

Administrative Support:

• Manage correspondence and coordination with clients, front office teams, advisors, brokers, and external counsel.
• Track the progress of agreements, ensuring timely execution and completeness of documentation.
• Handle a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Derivatives Specialist or Paralegal in a law firm or financial services setting, supporting legal teams with documentation.
• Strong ability to manage high transaction volumes and competing deadlines.
• Familiarity with collateral assignment agreements and derivative transactions (preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Creative thinker with a solution-oriented mindset.
