Job summary

Wellington Management in Boston is seeking an Analyst for the Derivatives Operations team to manage daily collateral and margin activities across OTC derivatives, futures, and options.

You will work with brokers, clients, and tech teams to ensure accurate trade capture, timely processing, and issue resolution, while contributing to workflow improvements and risk management in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
• 2+ years in investment operations; derivatives experience preferred.
• Knowledge of collateral, margin, or other post-trade processes is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication with cross-team collaboration.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Proficiency in Excel; Python/SQL experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review margin calls, investigate discrepancies, and issue wires to meet collateral needs.
• Monitor collateral requirements and balance supervision.
• Perform daily control reconciliations across holdings, futures, collateral, and currencies.
• Support broker relationships and issue resolution with internal stakeholders.
• Serve as a resource for client queries and escalation.
• Identify opportunities to improve front-to-back efficiency and implement changes.
• Maintain risk controls with accurate documentation and procedures.
