CENTRAL MAINE POWER CO is seeking an Engineer - Interconnections (All Levels) in NY. The role focuses on analyzing DER interconnections across multiple voltage levels and developing distribution models to study generation and storage integration.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree required; advanced degree or PE license desired.
• Advanced knowledge of electric distribution power systems and planning.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze DER interconnections across multiple voltage levels and present findings.
• Assess new customer connections with data interpretation and reporting.
• Develop distribution system power flow models using CYME.
• Review planning work and mentor peers and consultants.
• Apply planning criteria and standards (IEEE, ANSI, DER interconnection).
• Utilize GIS, SAP and Load Data systems in daily planning tasks.
• Represent department on industry committees and support storm restoration.
• Clearly communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.
