Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking an Engineer II or Engineer III to perform in-depth DER interconnection studies and refine related processes within the Distributed Energy Strategy & Services team, enabling safe, reliable interconnection to the utility grid across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Engineering required; Master's may substitute for B.S.
• 4+ years for Engineer III, 2+ years for Engineer II in engineering roles
• Knowledge of DER interconnection and power system analysis beneficial

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth DER interconnection studies and analyses
• Refine interconnection study processes and implement improvements
• Collaborate with DE team engineers and stakeholders across divisions
• Support development of DER policies, processes and training
• Represent the DE team in DER-related initiatives
