Consolidated Edison Company of New York is seeking an Engineer to join the G.R.I.D. Edge team within the Distribution Engineering System Design department.

You will study interconnections of distributed energy resources and perform technical analyses, reviews, and coordination with customers and developers to support a reliable, safe grid. The role emphasizes taking ownership, safety, and customer experience while leveraging the latest technologies.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and minimum 3 years of engineering experience (Regional/Customer/Generation/Substation/Control Center).
• Experience with relay protection, substation operations, and electric operations field organizations.
• Knowledge of distributed energy resources interconnection and interconnection studies is preferred.

Mansioni

• Complete CESIR studies per NYSSIR process.
• Review DER applications including electrical schematics and protection/control systems.
• Use load flow tools to analyze interconnection impacts and propose solutions.
• Support DER projects through design, construction, and witness testing.
• Direct, oversee, and review technical studies performed by contractors.
• Develop or update technical specifications for internal and external stakeholders.
• Interact with internal/external customers and DPS management.
• Present to stakeholders and stay updated with technology advancements.
