Consolidated Edison Company of New York is seeking an Engineer to join the G.R.I.D. Edge team within the Distribution Engineering System Design department.

The role focuses on studying interconnection of distributed energy resources (DERs) on our electric grid and coordinating with customers, developers, and internal stakeholders. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and minimum 2 years related work experience, including 1 year in engineering work (regional, generation, substation, protection).
• Experience interfacing with customers and stakeholders is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CESIR studies per NYSSIR process and review DER interconnection applications.
• Analyze electrical schematics, protection and control systems, and technical forms.
• Use load flow tools to propose mitigation for DER impacts to the grid.
• Support DER projects through design, construction, and witness testing for operation.
