About the Position
The Deputy Treasurer is an integral member of the Wallowa County Treasurer’s Office and plays a vital role in protecting and managing the County’s financial resources. This position assists with a variety of accounting, banking, cash management, and customer service functions while ensuring the accurate and efficient administration of public funds.
Working under the direction of the County Treasurer, the Deputy Treasurer provides professional financial support to County departments, elected officials, and the public through accurate recordkeeping, financial reporting, account reconciliation, property tax administration, and daily treasury operations. This position requires integrity, attention to detail, excellent customer service, and a commitment to responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.

Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm (37.50 Hours per week)

Compensation & Benefits

Employees can accrue up to twice the annual accrual at the end of the fiscal year (excess is forfeited). Paid out at termination
