Description

The Leidos NISC IV team is seeking a dynamic senior-level Engineer to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team.

The position will support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA) NISC support team, providing outstanding customer service to FAA customers receiving NISC services throughout the eastern service area. The NISC IV contract offers technical and scheduling support for projects, including towers, buildings, and other large facilities.

This position is fully remote and must be located in the eastern part of the US.

Engineering degree required.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist with administering task orders issued by FAA customers, ensuring proper completion of work, establishing budgets, performing invoice analysis, and evaluating subcontractor invoices.
  • Assist the Task Order Manager with managing task orders.
  • Participate in establishing goals, policies, and procedures for successful project completion within budget and schedule constraints, providing guidance to subordinates.
  • Oversee and guide subcontractors.
  • Prepare proposals, business plans, work statements, specifications, budgets, and Estimates at Complete (EAC) for various task orders.
  • Coordinate recruitment, training, performance assessments, work assignments, and personnel development.

The position requires frequent interface with FAA personnel, other contractors, FAA GTIs, and representatives.

The successful candidate will be a results-driven leader capable of motivating multidisciplinary teams including Engineers, Air Traffic Specialists, Programmers, and Analysts.

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience monitoring engineering design and construction projects using Primavera.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting with Excel and Tableau.
  • Intermediate knowledge of KSN/SharePoint for information management.
  • Ability to conduct research, evaluations, and present recommendations.
  • Experience leading team meetings and participating in teleconferences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong documentation skills.

Strong business acumen and understanding of customer missions are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of design experience on multidisciplinary projects.
  • FAA engineering and project management experience.

Pay range: $104,650.00 - $189,175.00. Compensation depends on responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and other factors.
