Jefferson County is hiring a Deputy Sheriff Trainee to join the Sheriff’s Office during POST academy training in Colorado. Academy pay is $33.74 per hour and the program starts in early April 2027, with a continuous application window and a 40-hour work week.

Upon completion of training, incumbents will be assigned to the Jefferson County Patrol or Detention Divisions as a Deputy Sheriff. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is issued to those who complete the POST academy successfully, with distributions per

Competenze

• Sixty semester or ninety quarter hours from an accredited college/university preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age; must provide information for background investigation; submit to polygraph exam; criminal history check; medical exam and psychological exam required; required to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays; must have valid Colorado driver’s license by hire date.
