• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must be at least 21 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• No Felony, Battery misdemeanor or Domestic Violence conviction
• Favorable background investigation
• Pass entry-level written exam
• Pass physical/fitness testing (if required)
• Must have Indiana driver’s license and Boone County residency

Responsabilités

• Observes, detects, and apprehends violators of traffic and other laws.
• Observes hazards and illegal activities and takes appropriate actions.
• Responds to emergency calls and assists fire/EMS services as necessary.
• Conducts investigations of incidents occurring on the shift.
• Completes written reports and departmental forms related to evidence handling.
• Provides testimony concerning incidents and referrals to social services as needed.
