Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Department seeks a Deputy Sheriff to protect life and property, uphold laws, and maintain public safety. You will engage with the community, respond to incidents, and perform essential law enforcement duties in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities include traffic enforcement, pursuing offenders, and processing paperwork for arrests while using appropriate force to ensure safety.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Peace Officer Post Certified; MTLETC pre-service or equivalent required.
• Two years of public contact experience required.
• Associate’s degree can substitute for two years of experience.

Mansioni

• Provide information and assistance to motorists, pedestrians and the public.
• Conduct traffic enforcement and investigate traffic accidents; issue warnings and citations.
• Manage an assigned area to prevent crime, traffic violations and accidents.
• Apprehend individuals suspected of DUI and conduct tests; complete necessary paperwork.

Formazione
