Qualifications

• Possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Be a United States citizen.
• Ability to obtain certification as a law enforcement officer per NC Sheriff Training and Standards Commission.

Responsibilities

• Provide general law enforcement duties to maintain peace and protect lives and property.
• Take calls from the public and respond to incidents as required.
• Investigate complaints and criminal activity; enforce traffic laws.
• Serve civil and criminal process and papers as required by courts.
• Develop suspects, arrest offenders, and provide security for courts.
• Transport prisoners and perform other assignments as requested.
