Responsibilities

• Patrols and provides security for prevention of crime and protection of life and property.

• Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls; interrogates victims, witnesses and suspects.
• Arrests violators; transports and processes prisoners; testifies in court.
• Represents the Sheriff's Office at court hearings and completes required paperwork.
• Performs court security and bailiff duties as assigned.
• Continues education and community outreach on law enforcement activities.
