Adams County Sheriff's Office in Colorado is seeking a Jail Deputy to conduct investigations, transport inmates, and ensure facility safety. The role requires POST certification and a high school diploma, with a valid Colorado driver's license.
The position features mandatory 12-hour shifts and a comprehensive testing process including written exams, oral board interviews, and fitness testing.
SPECIAL NOTE: For all applicants, this is a reminder of the original job posting where it stated: “Applicants may be excluded from further consideration at any point in the hiring process. By Sheriff’s Office policy, the reasons why an applicant is not selected for hire will not be discussed with the applicant. There is no flexibility with this policy. If an applicant receives notice of elimination from the hiring process, it simply means the applicant’s qualifications do not fit the Office’s needs at this time. This determination does not preclude the applicant from applying to other agencies.”
(The Lateral Hiring Matrix includes the hiring range for qualified candidates. Credit for years of service will be calculated using full calendar years. A maximum of five years of full-time, POST Certified law enforcement experience will be considered for salary placement. No credit will be given for volunteer, reserve, or part-time work.)
