The Rise Nursery at St Peter’s School is seeking a Deputy Room Leader to support the Room Leader in delivering high-quality early years provision for children aged six months to three years. You will help lead the room, mentor staff, and build strong partnerships with families.

Starting January 2027, with two weeks of in-house training prior to the Rise opening, the role requires commitment to safeguarding, a nurturing environment, and collaboration with the Nursery Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Experience with EYFS provision and nursery settings.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams in a room-based environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Responsabilités

• Support the planning and delivery of high-quality EYFS provision and monitor children’s progress.
• Act as a keyperson and build strong relationships with children and families.
• Support daily room operations and maintain high standards of care, health, safety and hygiene.
• Lead the room in the Room Leader’s absence and mentor educators and apprentices.
• Develop positive partnerships with parents and carers and share information on wellbeing and development.
• Ensure compliance with EYFS and nursery policies and safeguarding procedures.
