Job summary

Amentum is seeking a SOC-E Deputy Quality Manager in the United States to develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization’s Quality Management System in alignment with contract requirements and ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001 standards.

The role provides guidance on QMS interpretation, ensures documentation and forms for quality control are current, and leads corrective actions across programs. A TS/SCI clearance and ASQ Lead Auditor certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must translate policies into documented quality objectives and procedures and drive continuous improvement.
• 5 years of experience with at least 2 years in RPA IT relevance.
• Familiarity with US Air Force and DoD policies related to quality assurance.
• Lead Auditor certification (ASQ) required.
• Strong written communication and document control proficiency.
• Must hold a TS/SCI clearance and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality records required by ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001.
• Develop and maintain the risk register per ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001.
• Implement and maintain the QMS per contract requirements.
• Guide managers on interpretation and compliance with QMS requirements.
• Document organizational QA structure and designate QC authorities at locations.
• Ensure proper use of technical data and update forms per directives.
• Ensure data is current and accessible in the work area.
• Observe activities to verify QMS compliance.
• Interact with customers, peers, and CORs.
• Assist with environmental, safety, and health inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The SOC-E Deputy Quality Manager is responsible for developing, documenting, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures compliance with contract requirements and ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001 standards. The Deputy Quality Manager operates with authority to provide guidance and direct corrective actions across all contract or program activities.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain quality records required by ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001.
• Develop and maintain the risk register required by ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001.
• Develop and maintain the organization’s Quality Management System in accordance with contract requirements.
• Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on the interpretation of and compliance with QMS requirements.
• Document the organization’s quality management structure, including personnel authority and responsibilities, and identify personnel designated to perform quality control functions at each location.
• Enforce strict use of technical data, including Technical Orders, commercial manuals, standard operating procedures, directives, and other applicable guidance.
• Ensure technical data is current, updated with applicable changes, and available in the immediate work area.
• Ensure forms used to document maintenance actions are completed in accordance with 00-20 series Technical Orders, specific equipment technical data, and applicable command directives and supplements.
• Evaluate personnel proficiency.
• Evaluate training programs for adequacy, sufficiency, and effectiveness.
• Observe technical team activities to ensure conduct and work results comply with the QMS.
• Interact with external customers, functional peer groups, and Government Contracting Officer’s Representatives (CORs).
• Assist with environmental, safety, and health inspections and related reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience developing quality policies into documented quality objectives, procedures, records management processes, and data analysis practices, with emphasis on continuous improvement in accordance with ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001.
• 5 years of exeperience with 2 years being RPA IT relevant.
• Familiarity with, and working knowledge of, U.S. Air Force and DoD policies and directives related to compliance and quality assurance is desired.
• ASQ Certified Lead Auditor certification required.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform detail-oriented work.
• Familiarity with general industry standards and the ability to remain current with evolving requirements.
• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI government security clearance.
• Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines

Compensation Details:

$80,000 - $90,000
