Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Deputy Project Manager - Technical to support Army Enterprise network infrastructure. The role assists the Program Manager in technical oversight, customer coordination and execution across JRSS, JBCE and AGUN migration efforts.

Required: 5+ years of related experience and Top Secret/SCI with T5; Security+ or CASP and CCNA; IT/Cyber Security degree. On-site support and 24/7/365 readiness are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Cyber Security required.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Security clearance: Top Secret/SCI T5 required.
• Certifications: Security+ CE or CASP CE or SecurityX CE and CCNA required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and support daily operational execution across JRSS, JBCE, JMN, and AGUN network environments.
• Oversee troubleshooting, OS upgrades, configuration changes, VRF cutovers, and incident management for enterprise routers and firewalls.
• Coordinate with NETCOM, GCC, DISA, and site technicians to resolve outages, validate configurations, and maintain network stability.
• Support program reporting, customer communication, and delivery of technical updates to CORs, KO, and government stakeholders.
• Manage workload prioritization, ticket flow, CRQs, and compliance requirements while ensuring quality and timely execution.
• Guide staff development, training alignment, onboarding, and documentation improvements for operational processes.
• Assist with modernization efforts and technology integration supporting the Army’s transition from JRSS to AGUN.

DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER - TECHNICAL

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Deputy Project Manager (DPM) supports the Network & Systems Administration Teams in managing, securing, and modernizing critical Army Enterprise network infrastructure. This role assists the Program Manager in day‑to‑day technical oversight, customer coordination, planning, and execution of activities spanning JRSS, JBCE routers, AGUN migration support, operations, and compliance. The Technical DPM ensures mission readiness, operational continuity, and high‑quality performance across all network & systems administration functions.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or Cyber Security

• Experience: 5+ years of related experience

• Security clearance level: Top Secret/SCI T5 required.

• Certifications: Security+ CE or CASP CE or SecurityX CE and CCNA required

• Additional Qualifications:

- Ability to be on customer site as needed.

- Flexibility to support 24/7/365 operations.

- An understanding of the Army's Network Architecture. Direct experience with JRSS/AGUN infrastructure and network administration preferred.

- Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system required.

- ITIL v4 certification preferred.

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

-Technical certifications such as JNCIA, PNCSE, VMware, etc. helpful.
