Desired experience:
Oversee the execution of Technical Direction Letters (TDLs) and performance in various CONUS and OCONUS environments. The Deputy Project Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
- The ability to pass a Pre-Deployment medical screening required by the CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) for OCONUS deployment to many foreign nations.
AFSOC
- Expected TDL Technical Support areas include:
- Testing and Evaluation of Air Platforms.
- Mission support to ISR Collection operations.
- Integration, testing, and evaluation of Mission systems onto air platforms.
- Course material development and training on ISR operations and implementation of mission systems.
AFWERX
- Expected TDL Technical Support areas include:
- Testing and Evaluation of Advanced Aerial Mobility (AAM) platforms.
- Support of field-testing exercises for Commercial-Off-The-Shelf technologies.
- Integration, development, testing, and evaluation of aerial autonomy systems.
- Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation for innovative mission systems intended for use on air platforms or related functions, such as ground stations.
ANG AATC
- Expected TDL Technical Support areas include:
- Testing and Evaluation of air platforms.
- Integration, testing, and evaluation of unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
- Integration, testing, and evaluation of air mission systems and technologies.
DIU NSIN
- Expected TDL Technical Support areas include:
- Evaluation of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Solutions to fill DoD requirements.
- Systems Integration of new capabilities on existing platforms.
- Testing and Evaluation of prototype systems and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Platforms.
- Engagement with end users, educational institutions, and commercial technology manufacturers for defense purposes.
Joint Hypersonic Transition Office
- Expected TDL Technical Support areas include:
- Research, development, and engineering on hypersonic systems and platforms.
- Modeling and simulation of Hypersonic systems for evaluation and research purposes.
- Technology transition services for Hypersonic systems.
OSD
- Expected TDL Technical Support areas for include:
- Test and Evaluation of new and emerging technology capabilities.
- Lead Systems Integrator functions for integrating new technologies onto existing platforms.
- IR Sensor Integrations for ISR mission platforms.
- Management of large scale Research and Development testing exercises and prototyping events.
SCO
- Expected TDL Technical Support areas include:
- Research and Production of capability assessments for US and Adversary Nation technologies.
- SETA assessments of technology and innovation programs in support of strategic capabilities.
- Transition of innovative or emerging technology capabilities to end users within the DoD.
- Developmental engineering, test and evaluation as part of technology transition processes.
Desired education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- 10 years of experience providing technical support in a related area to one of the support tasks listed above, or a master’s degree and 8 years of experience providing technical support in a related area to one of the support tasks listed above.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership position overseeing a team of at least 5 subordinates in the execution of technical, engineering, or intelligence tasks.
Security Clearance:
- Security clearance required TS/SCI with CI POLY or the ability to obtain CI POLY.
