Responsibilities




Peraton is seeking a Deputy Program Manager & Business Relationship Manager to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals.

As part of this role, the Deputy PM will contribute to the success of DSS 3.0, which is responsible for delivering IT systems support to approximately 18,500 end users-including Federal employees, contractors, and support personnel. While the highest user concentration is located within the National Capital Region (NCR), support must also be extended to numerous locations across the Continental United States (CONUS)-including national/state fusion centers, state, local, and tribal centers-as well as some Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) locations such as Hawaii, Guam, and potentially other international sites.

The Deputy PM will support strategic planning initiatives and lead continuous improvement efforts for support services that enhance value, reduce costs, and minimize risk to the Government. This work is critical to ensuring DHS HQ remains aligned with evolving technologies, innovative methods, and best practices in service delivery.

The candidate must be local to Reston, VA and Washington, D.C.

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

    Manages oversight and governance of all daily operations of contract tasks and activities.
  • Ensures adherence to the processes, procedures, standards, and policies by DSS 3.0 Contractor team personnel.
  • Oversees site security and surveillance procedures.
  • Manages contractor resources, scheduling, and training to maintain contractual performance obligations and ensure relevancy of staff.
  • Collaborates with DSS Contractor leadership team to prioritize innovations and improvements, share survey results, and provide customer feedback on the DSS services portfolio.
  • Represents the voice of the customer in internal DSS Contractor team meetings.
  • Makes sure DSS solutions are aligned to the DSS business mission, desired outcomes, and IT strategy.





Qualifications




Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of operations management experience supporting IT service contracts with annual revenue of $30M or more (contracts with higher revenue preferred)
  • Must be a U.S Citizen with an Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or current TS/SCI
  • Required Certifications: PMP and ITIL v4 Advanced certification
  • Proven ability to manage daily operations for enterprise-level IT services contracts or task orders
  • Current or prior experience managing desktop services support, including one or more of the following: service desk, help desk, field services, user support, and endpoint services; experience with remote support management is preferred
  • Demonstrated success in meeting deadlines and managing the planning and execution of project tasks and resource coordination
  • Strong personnel management and oversight skills, with the ability to lead and motivate contractor teams across multiple activities and locations
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing operational issues, with the ability to escalate to and collaborate with the Program Manager or COR as needed
  • Expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) practices and frameworks
  • Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills, with experience collaborating across multiple Government agencies and partner organizations
  • Ability to identify and recommend process improvements to enhance quality, reduce cost, and eliminate inefficiencies

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior DHS IT management experience, with DHS HQ/OCIO experience highly preferred

Target Salary Range




$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
