Deputy Program Manager
Washington DC / Arlington VA (Hybrid Onsite)

We are seeking a Deputy Program Manager to assist with digital health transformation efforts within the Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) program management office. This person should be a current or former management consultant with a strong data analytics background who is capable of leading teams, interfacing with clients, and collaborating with senior stakeholders across the Prime Contractor and the client.

This role will assume project management responsibility for ongoing and new work performed by Prime Contractor's DHMSM team and will continuously work to improve operations. This person will act as a representative of the Prime Contractor for Government Programs and Platform personnel and will drive work end-to-end as needed by leadership. They will also orchestrate project-related client interactions and ensure constructive collaboration with our clients.

Success in this role will be defined by the ability to have a pulse on all operations across the DHMSM platform. This person should be able to lead, empower, and inspire team members to deliver against their respective priorities and KPIs to meet client needs. This person will be able to drive work independently, enable collective problem solving and best practices, prioritize responsibilities, and develop informed recommendations. This person should also be able to leverage their data analytics background to evaluate and oversee team members' production of data-rich deliverables that make complex information accessible and compelling to a client audience.

This person would be responsible for ensuring that all materials are not only informative but also adhere to organizational branding guidelines and are tailored to meet the needs of diverse audiences. This role would therefore have a pulse on operations within administration. Regular updates and refinements to deliverables based on stakeholder feedback will be crucial for continuous improvement in communication effectiveness.

This person should be able to keep up to date with industry best practices and consolidate and incorporate lessons learned. In addition, this person should drive work independently end to end, accurately prioritize responsibilities, and develop informed recommendations.

This role will work closely with Prime Contractor team members, government leaders, vendors, and subcontractors in support of the DHMSM program.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of management consulting experience
  • Data analytics background via education or experience
  • Strong experience and skillset in written communication tools and presentation software
  • Strong written and verbal communications
QUALITIES:
  • Prior government healthcare or DHA experience
  • Has a CAC (Common Access Card), Security Clearance, or ability to obtain a CAC
  • Experience managing teams
