Job summary

Goddard Riverside seeks an Assistant Program Director for Baxter Safe Haven in Elmhurst, NY. The role supervises 4 Case Managers, 2 Harm Reduction Specialists, and 1 Housing Specialist to help clients achieve stable housing within a harm reduction housing first model.

The position requires a social work background, supervisory experience, and preferably LMSW. English/Spanish bilinguals are preferred; the work involves collaborating with DHS, audits, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in a social service related field required; LMSW preferred.
• Supervisory experience required; shelter or Safe Haven experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and conduct consistent supervision for 4 Case Managers, 2 Harm Reduction Specialists, and 1 Housing Specialist.
• Assist Program Director with daily operations and participate in staff meetings.
• Oversee crisis response and debrief with staff and clients.
• Assist with preparing for audits and reviewing Corrective Action Plans.
• Standardize program policies using a harm reduction and housing first model.
• Collaborate with DHS and funders to achieve deliverables and meet standards.
