The New York State Executive Chamber seeks a Deputy Press Secretary to lead press and media strategy for an assigned portfolio of agencies and interests. The role supports the Press Secretary in crafting messaging and coordinating with Deputy Communications Directors to advance the Governor’s agenda.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of professional communications experience, with a Master’s degree substituting for one year.

Responsabilidades

• Leads press and media correspondence for the assigned portfolio.
• Works with the Press Secretary to craft press strategies and messaging.
• Assists in executing events and managing media during events.
• Ensures the accuracy of information released to media pertaining to the portfolio.
• Prepares press materials including releases, statements, and responses.
• Collaborates with Deputy Communications Directors to develop communications strategies.
• Works with administration agencies to develop press strategies for reporter outreach.
• Performs research for press materials, briefings, and public dissemination.
• Works with Press Assistants to compile news clips and briefings for reports.
• Performs other duties as required.
