Job summary

Forvia in Fort Wayne, Indiana, seeks a Deputy Plant Manager to lead production, logistics and quality, driving QCD results and budget adherence. You will supervise multiple managers, deploy the Forvia Excellence System and foster continuous improvement across the plant.

With a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in industrial manufacturing, preferably automotive, you will coach teams, optimize processes, and ensure safety and environmental compliance while delivering customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• Experience in lean manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Production, Logistics, and Quality managers, while supporting function managers (HSE, HR, Finance, Purchasing, etc.) and ensure the proper flow of information.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Drive the plant's performance in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD), develop and respect the plant's budget.
• Delivers improvement in the QCD results of the products and processes, optimize the plant layout and the use of equipment.
• Ensure the proper anticipation, at all levels of the plant, of the production launches of new products.
• Drive supplier performance improvement.
• Define a deployment plan for the Faurecia Excellence System and implement it.
• Involve everyone in the continuous improvement process.
• Ensure employee health, environmental protection, and plant safety.
• Ensure the recruitment, integration, training, and development of the plant's employees.
• Manage with the Plant Manager the social climate and labor relations.
• Develop future Forvia experts and managers.
• Animate the Gap (TOP5, QRQC, TOP 60, HSE audit).
• Generate and implement improvement ideas.
