Essex Brownell Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager in Fort Wayne, IN to oversee daily plant operations across manufacturing, quality, engineering and maintenance.

The role focuses on coordinating production, controlling costs, and driving continuous improvement to boost efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will lead manufacturing at the Active location, work with sales and business development to seize opportunities, and mentor supervisors while ensuring safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Production Management, Industrial Management, or Engineering preferred; or equivalent experience in Industrial Management.
• Experience with production management, machining, fabricating, quality, processing, assembly, data processing, direct labor standards, personnel management, and labor relations.
• Must adapt to demanding and changing production schedules and resolve complex manufacturing issues using sound technical judgement and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversees daily plant operations across manufacturing, quality, engineering and maintenance.
• Coordinates production activities, monitors costs, develops employees, and drives continuous improvement.
• Leads manufacturing operations at the Active location and collaborates with departments to meet production goals.
• Prepare monthly forecasts, budgets, CAPEX, and reports; advise VP of Operations to improve plant operations.
• Participate in equipment and plant layout planning and process improvements to improve quality and reduce handling.
